Here are our Rookie Junior Art Docents: J.P., Auguste, Petra, Levi, Masha, Angela, Henry, Owen, Eliza and Henry. They have visited the art museum three times this year.

These are our Vet Junior Art Docents: Kaiden, Liam, Finn, Aiko, Nadia and Mary Jane. They have visited the art museum three times in both 3rd and 4th grade. Next year they will explain their projects as a Junior Art Docent.

J.P., Geoffrey and Owen represented our Crew at the PrinciPal meeting with Mrs. Russick. Before the meeting, they took notes about caring and empathy, then shared about the meeting afterwards.

Thank you to Mrs. McDonald for teaching us how we can take a picture of what we are reading, the ap translates it into Mandarin (or many other languages) so our ELL students can read what we are reading.

Nadia, Cleo, and Angela test their JetToy vehicle with a balloon motor. They also reflected about the vehicle and their team. The students also learned about the Engineering Design process. See pics.

Petra, Aiko and Eliza built their prototype based on their previous research and testing which included modifications. They also built it to hold three different types of nozzles and weights. They are continuing to research inventors in the case study with Mrs. Malloy. See pics.

Notes for Parents
1. Reading Log : Reading Logs are due totaled on Monday. Please ask your child to total his/her minutes before s/he brings it to school.
2. XtraMath : practice 3 times a week
3. Conference Sign-Up: Here is the Spring Conference Schedule for Thursday, March 9th and Friday, March 10th. Here is the Atwater Link address for conferences.
The students do not have school on either day (the district calendar says differently.)
4 . No School and Conference Dates: There is no school for students on Thursday, March 9th and Friday, March 10th. The district calendar says differently.
5. Science Fair: new date is Thursday, March 23rd from 6:30-7:30 pm. **** 6:30-7:30 pm is a new time.****
Vets: will not complete science fair projects. Our entire crew will participate in the "A World of Motion" case study (like last year but more in depth and will include more reading and writing.)
Rookies: will participate in the case study and will also complete science posters.
Rookies:Posters are due on 3/13
The science fair posters will be on display during the science fair.

Dinosaurs and Boxes: Monday, March 6th-Please save small plastic containers, plastic utensils, toilet paper and paper towel tubes, milk carton lids, small boxes and juice boxes that could be used for dinosaurs to make with our K-4 buddies. Please make sure that all items are clean and no glass. There was a note in the Thurs. bag, too. Thank you!
