As part of Black History Month, Sista Strings
returned for another wonderful performance.


Four SHS students, Calisssa, Alisha, BJ and Ali,
 from the group, Youth Rising Up, read
stories to our crew for Black History Month. They read
Whoosh:Lonnie Johnson's Sooper-Soaking Stream ofInventions by Chris Barton and Dancing
in the Wings 
in the Wings in the Wings by Debbie Allen. Thank you also to
Mr. Nelson Brown from SHS for organizing this for us!

Ms. Sakai's Cross-Age Crew creating a
flag. All Cross-age Crews are making a

During the All School Crew, the Sudent Council, presented
a check to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Finn, Vicvtor, Sam and Henry T. are tewards of self-
discipline and led a crew meeting with a reading, greeting,

Isla, Henry C., Charlotte and Jacoby enjoy
the Valentine party. Since we had so many
crew members absent and so much food left,
we all ate again the next week. Thank you to
all who brought in treats! See pics. 

The Band-O-Rama performance by the 4th-12th graders was amazing! 



Other activities:

Battle of the Books competitions, band and orchestra lunch reheaarsals, review and assess math units, MAP assessment for Rookies, Scholastic News about Jackie Robinson, assessing goals and continuum, working on group project in SS, Mrs. Mallloy reading Traders in Time, cursive, reading responses, students starting to write out the daily note to practice writing with quotations
