Octobober 16-20, 2017



Levi, Eliza and Victor represented our crew
at the PrinciPal meeting for having wonderful
idease with Mrs. Russick. They also shared
with the crew what they talked about. They did
a great job!

Nancy shared her book that she wrote and
published in ELL. 

Charlotte is finding objects that have a similar mass to 1 liter
or 1,000 grams. Ms. Sakai's math crew is also
working on solving two-step problems, persevering, and
being precise. See pics. 
Sam, Cleo and Masha use multiple sources to
complete a note catcher on  five vertebrate
classes. See pics. 





























Eliza, Henry and Isla place vertebrate and invertebrate species
cards and animals on a chart to check to see if they undertand
animal classification. Students also watched a Bill Nye video
on invertebrates. See pics. 





















The crew harvested the last vegetables from
our garden plot. Auguste is holding a white
carrot. We still have some green tomatoes
ripening in our room. See pics. 








Levi helps to make kale chips. We made five
pans and they were all eaten. See pics.

Cassidy adds beans to the beet hummus.

Jacoby and Zoah enjoy our healthy snack. We
ate fresh veggies from the garden plot and
Farmer's Market. We also enjoyed kale chips,
beet hummus with chips and some even
tried the beet stem and leaf salad. (I'm trying
to cook with more parts of the vegetable.)
