Cassidy, Cat and Charlotte created this neat design using pattern blocks in math. Students also used tessellations (geometric shapes that do not overlap or have any gaps.) The students earned a creative math day after completing all of their Forward Testing. See pics.

Other activities:
Starting to read biographies and watching Ruby Bridges in Social Studies, reading biographies in Reading Workshop, reading Scholastic News on "Track Your Trash" and we tracked our trash and recycling, we started a new design principle about learning from the natural world, Read a Scholastic News about "Where does all the trash go?", watched a couple short videos about the ocean's plastic bag island, what happens to recycling and how wax worms may help the plastic bag problem, Forward Testing practice and test taking, reflected on third trimester goals and continuum and practiced a tornado drill
